It was one year ago today that Kimberly and myself were fortunate to be hosted by the Canadian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency The Honourable Ralph Goodale, for a personal tour of CANADA HOUSE at Trafalgar Square in London.
That is was the 100th anniversary of Canada House at that location only made the visit more meaningful.
The art work from each of the 10 Provinces and 3 Territories was spectacular.
And;
Anyway. In addition to the tour, an added bonus was meeting Ian. He was attached to the Security detail for the facility. He was keen to know where we were from. When I told him “Wïndsor, Ontario”, he beamed. “I visit there whenever I am in Canada. I love Windsor.”
Today I found out that Ian is visiting around the beginning of September! In recognition of that and his reaching out through a mutual contact, I am posting one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite outfits.
