Here is a quick hit on a Monday from a shoegaze outfit from California.
Modesto, California of all places – just about dead- centre in the middle of the state and, at the same time, nowhere.
Originally named WHIRL, the band were forced to change to WHIRR due to a fight with another similarly named artist. They have been releasing music at a decent pace since 2009.
In 2010 they released the EP “Distressor” and it has been re-issued, along with much of their catalogue.
Here is the track “Leave” to introduce you to this stellar outfit.
