Proud day yesterday as we went to view this art piece by daughter HANNAH B. at an exhibition at The Nancy John Studio in Windsor.
HANNAH B described the creation of the piece as follows:
Title: “Familiar Strangers” 2026
Knit & woven art piece
7,196 woven knots
23,400 hand knit stitches.”
She wove and knit the entire frame and then did a duplicate stitch of the horse and goat.

Many of the patrons spent time studying this unusual and creative piece of art.

What song to pick for this art?
1. I wanted it to be from an artist that few, if any of you know, as HANNAH B’s art is new and unknown to many.
That artist is SNAPDRAGONS 🇬🇧
They were a shining beacon from Leeds in the late 80’s. Very little of their music is online.
2. I wanted to pilfer a line from a song by the band that references art. That line is “It’s the state of the art” taken from a song by this outfit called “Dole Boys Sleep On Futons”.

Here is a YouTube version of that song…
(SONG 1750)
3. I wanted it to capture the essence of the piece and, be brilliant…
Here is “Dreamtime” by SNAPDRAGONS 🇬🇧.
