Those in our little group who are as nuts as I am about the band SPIRITUALIZED will know what studio LP is missing…

This one-

I don’t know how it is that I have about 35 artists in my personal Top 10 but I do…

One of them is the band SPIRITUALIZED- the long- running vehicle that former SPACEMEN 3 member JASON PIERCE (aka J SPACEMAN) has fronted since 1990.

A few years ago, the band began reissuing their studio LPs. The completist in me had to have them.

I happily worked my way through this task. Group member LIAM- my hometown record store proprietor of DR. DISC was my main supplier.

But finding a colour vinyl of this one album, “Songs In A & E” proved to be troublesome. In every store I found it, the version was standard black. That is, until I entered Wuxtry Records in Decatur, GA. and PADUSHKA changed my luck.

I have seen dogs in many of the vinyl shops I have visited. They are usually on the floor behind the counter. This is the first time I had ever seen one hanging out at the counter. Many were passing by and just came in to pet Padushka. She was loving the attention.

This LP was released after PIERCE’S near death health scare that included pneumonia and saw him both hospitalized and read his last rites.

Factoid- The LP is dedicated to the staff at Royal London Hospital.
