One of the wonderful benefits of doing this website for 4.5 years now is the interaction with many of you.
Many of you have introduced me to artists that you love and now I love.
I was recently asked by Group member Brad if I knew of BILL CALLAHAN 🇺🇸. He thought I might not because the music is not in my wheelhouse.
Thing is, I do know of BILL CALLAHAN. However, I have not listened to him or purchased any of his music in some time. So I took the train back…

[Ed. Note- With over 2,000 artists in the rex collection surely this doesn’t surprise you?]
I first listened to Callahan’s slow core music with his band SMOG. They released a prolific 14 LPs between 1990 and 2005.
My favourite SMOG track is “Dress Sexy At My Funeral” from their 2000 LP “Dongs of Sevotion.”

After CALLAHAN went solo I continued to acquire his music but eventually the volume of release (albeit most of it excellent) caused me to drift away.
Then came Brad’s message. I have acquired his newest LP- “My Days Of 58”.

Perhaps not surprisingly, my early fave track is “The Man I’m Supposed To Be.”
