WHAT’S IN A (SONG) NAME #16

Following on Friday’s “What’s In a Name 15” today gwilliamrexunderground365brings you a classic tune by a well-known indie band.

The catch? The song is taken from an LP with a clever name.

MODEST MOUSE 🇺🇸 have been making much respected indie music out of Portland, Oregon via Washington State since 1993. Hell, from 2006-2009 they even had guitar god JOHNNY MARR (of the Smiths 🇬🇧)as a full-fledged member.

The album with the name I love was LP#4 and was released in 2004. It’s entitled “Good News For People That Like Bad News.” I love simple turns of phrase like this

The song is ‘Dance Hall’

One response to “WHAT’S IN A (SONG) NAME #16”

  1. Great video but Chuck Conners could have saved himself some work by confiscating the switchblade from the crazy mixed up kid after the first incident.
Deep down, he’s probably a swell fella and I think we all know that it’s that crazy rock n roll he listens to that gives him violent tendencies; so sad.

As for the song; challenging and thought provoking lyrics lol
