ENGLISH ROUNDABOUT

Departure Day- September 12, 2023

Today was supposed to be the day. The day our daughter Hannah was to fly England to do her 3rd year of fine art studies in Southampton.

It was also going to be the day the streak of daily songs would end (just for a 1 day hiatus only) at 618. I thought given the emotion of the day etc. it would be a good day to pause for a day.

Neither happened.

First, A Certain airline could not keep a flight schedule. Hannah is delayed until tomorrow. As YOGI BERRA said- “It’s deja vu all over again!”

Secondly, with the inability of Hannah to fly out of Wïndsor, I now have time to do an appropriate song for today. Here comes (SONG 619)

I will start by showing a picture. Here is view outside Wïndsor Airport when we came out to drive home….

You can’t make this up. A double rainbow!!

One more night in Wïndsor! The heavens celebrate!

We drove home the way Hannah prefers. It involves a small roundabout. Ergo, given that, and the return home for one more night, the classic tune by the legends from Swindon UK 🇬🇧 XTC, is in order for this late post.

Here comes ‘English Roundabout” from their 1982 LP “English Settlement.

However, before taking in the song though, you MUST watch this tiny video that might explain the origin of this song AND certainly describes the emotions of our day!!

Now the song…
