Happy 23rd Birthday to our wonderful daughter HANNAH. She is pictured above holding 1 of her two beloved cats, ZEUS, as we chatted with her on FaceTime from Vancouver.

Not to be outdone, here she is with sister MINOU.

HANNAH is a Fine Arts grad from the University of Windsor and is working on her portfolio as she plans her next endeavour.

And now a song to celebrate HANNAH’S birthday.

The CURE 🇬🇧 have been making beloved music since the late 1970’s. Their second LP (“17 Seconds”) was a seminal record for me. The band pupated from the good, but somewhat “new wave sound” of their debut release “Boys Don’t Cry” (in North America), to the genre bending ouevre for which they became renowned. Their follow up was “Faith.”

It was a bold follow- up because no one (including me) thought they would ever achieve the commercial success that followed- given the tenor of this dark and brooding music.

One of my favourite tracks on the LP is “All Cats Are Grey.”

Given Hannah’s love of animals and, in particular, her cats, it is a natural choice for today’s song.
