I took a couple of days without a post after the sonic boom that was the 85 song playlist I dropped on Sunday. I hope every member of the Group gets to travel enough this year to get to listen to the full playlist.

I must confess to being easy prey when it comes to reissues or compilations.

If a reissue of an LP I love comes with extra tracks (B- sides, remixes, live or other oddities) I am in.

The early 90’s band VELOCITY GIRL 🇺🇸 has my current attention.

They are named after the lead track “Velocity Girl” on the infamous C86 tape gifted by the NME that year- all 81 seconds of it.

This early PRIMAL SCREAM 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 track was released before “Screamadelica” and was pure indie pop.

VELOCITY GIRL started in the D. C. Area.

Their debut LP “Copacetic” was released on the SubPop label in 1993.

Late last year I got hands on the reissue and am thrilled I did.
