The legendary PETER HOOK 🇬🇧 turns 70 today!

Like rex, HOOK is showing no signs of slowing down. This bassist extraordinaire has been gifting the world the greatest chords for almost 50 years. Today, he continues touring the globe with THE LIGHT performing the songs of both JOY DIVISION and NEW ORDER to adoring and addicted fans! Thank you HOOKY!

More on that later this year as I expect to see him play a few times this year, including on June 4, 2026 in Manchester, U.K.

Here is a video of HOOKY playing my one of my favourite song of all time- “Shadowplay” on May 18, 2015. That date was the 35th anniversary of the death of JOY DIVISION vocalist IAN CURTIS.
