There is so much activity right now I am beginning to think this might be a banner year for indie music. Here is an example.
I have been following DEARY since 2023.
Way back in May of that year , Kimberly, Hannah B and I visited Southampton, England 🏴 to check out Solent University where B was going to do her 3rd year that fall.
We also spent some time in London. I was stunned to find out that DEARY were playing at the Indie Label Show at Coal Drop Yards on May 16.
I got to meet DOTTY COCKRAM and BEN EASTON, the two founding members. There were at the SONIC CATHEDRAL booth.
Later they played an acoustic set.

I already had their early stuff before I met them. They have recorded a mess of singles and EPs since, but are finally going to release their debut LP this April!
The LP is entitled “Birding”. They just released the title track this week. Here is lead single “Seabird”to kick- start your work week in a haze of gorgeous classic shoegaze.
