Four years ago this week a seemingly unremarkable conversation sparked what has become an almost daily stream of indie music, stories and known as gwilliamrexundeground365.com.

It was the first week back for the new year in 2022. I was in my chambers getting ready for my work day. Colleague and friend Brian came in a bit later and walked by my door, said “Hello” and then added, “King, do you &?@&$ ever sleep?” He added that he had awaken that day, looked at his phone and observed I had sent him a video of a sports highlight at 11:40 and then a video of a song at 4:25 or so. I told him that I don’t sleep much and then added that when I got legitimately got up in the morning I would send him a song.

And so it “started”.

I knew immediately what the song would be. I sent him the YouTube video link for the song the next morning. That day 3 other colleagues heard about the “ morning song” and stated they wanted to get the song too.

And so it started.

I made it for 752 days in a row before some work obligations caused me to cut back on the frequency a bit.

With the assistance of Technical Director Courts a website was created as it was taking me 30 min each day to manually send everyone a separate text of the post…

With a couple of boosts from recent playlists I have curated, today’s song # almost matches the number of days since this thing started! (365 x 4=1,460 +1 for the 2024 Leap Year).

Today, you are a part of a much larger group approaching 300. I appreciate being able to share the indie music that is such a part of my life for the past 45 years. It is a privilege I take seriously.
