They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes nowhere near that many words are needed…
This is a photo taken yesterday of the residence of our son Kyle, daughter-in-law Alex and grandson Skyler.
This occurred at 6:30 am in a fierce wind and cold snap following a day of solid rain and temps just shy of 60F/15C.
To remind us of the power of nature, and the unpredictable fragility of life, note that the room under the tree is their bedroom.
Fortunately, in the end it’s a “perfect disaster” – a potentially life- altering event with a safe outcome for our family members. Whew.
It was serious enough that it made our Local newspaper.

I often tell friends that given the size of my collection, I have a record/song/artist in my collection for everything.
This is no exception, I have a band in my collection that fits.
Fronted by the only constant member, PHIL PARFITT, THE PERFECT DISASTER 🇬🇧 hailed from Bedfordshire, north of London. They enjoyed a 10 year career with 4 LPs from 1980.
Their bass player was JOSEPHINE WIGGS. A trained cellist, she went on the a higher profile career with PIXIES splinter band THE BREEDERS 🇺🇸/ 🇬🇧
The most well known PERFECT DISASTER LP is titled “Heaven Scent.” This LP title also describes today.

Here is “Sooner Or Later”:
