Happy Holidays everyone.
Thanks for being an essential part of gwilliamrexunderground365.
It means so much to me that you appreciate this tiny bit of musical indie madness, mixed in with personal anecdotes and observations- some musical, some not. I am very grateful for your friendship.
I took some time this week to decorate a second Christmas tree in our basement. We have curated a collection of FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT ornaments. This year I made it my personal project for the first time.

As you might guess, I am not someone who keenly awaits the inundation of Christmas songs that start the day after Halloween each year. In particular, I am apoplectic over the number of ads this year that feature “cute” variations on the 12 Days Of Christmas song to “cleverly” match their products or services.
For your enjoyment, I have simply attached my favourite collection of Christmas tunes.
You have heard the band LOW 🇺🇸 on this site before. ALAN SPARHAWK (guitar/vocals) and MIMI PARKER (drums/vocals) were married. They were from Minnesota and recorded from 1993 until MIMI sadly passed from cancer in 2022.

In 1993 they recorded the quintessential 8 track indie Christmas record.
I highly recommend this to you if you are inclined to play some Christmas tunes tomorrow (or any time.)
[Ed. Note- You are free to play this LP in any setting with any audience of any age, unlike some of the music rex posts on the site.]
I have attached the LP on a YouTube link that will play right through (hopefully.)

Addendum:
Out of sheer human decency I am not including my rewrite of the lyrics to “12 Days Of Christmas” to spare you all groaning references to things like Andy Partridge (of XTC) in a tree, and the bands GEESE, SWANS and DOVES from my collection…
You are welcome.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
