With just 2 shopping days left before Christmas, I thought I would give the Group a small musical present of an LP that contains a track that I consider OPUS70.1 worthy.
Yup. THE WOOD CHILDREN 🇬🇧 emerged out of North London in the late 1980’s.

They managed to release a few singles and then just one LP, entitled, fittingly for this time of year, “Shopaholic.”
I think it is an unknown classic dash of post- punk. I was fortunate to have acquired the CD and a limited edition cassette with 4 extra tracks. I have enjoyed this LP many times over the years.

Regrettably, there was just one single released in 1990 and then they vanished…
There isn’t a duff track here. I am most partial to the 7 minute epic entitled “Golden Mine”. [Ed. Note- rex apologizes for any trauma with the song title in this of all years.]
When I think that these wonderful songs have been listened to less than a thousand times each, it makes me a bit sad.
However, I have led young mEnjoy. I have added the full LP on SPOTIFY should you (wisely) decide to go down the rabbit hole…
