There is plenty to be thankful for musically these days.

After the excitement this week over the arrival of the new PALM GHOSTS 🇺🇸 LP “Content Provider”, the new release from LORELLE MEETS THE OBSOLETE 🇲🇽 dropped Friday as well.

At the vanguard of Mexican psychedelic/ shoegaze music for more than 10 years, this outfit is a duo comprised of LORENA QUINTANILLA and ALBERTO GONZÀLEZ.

To emphasize that they are a duo, not a band, the name Lorelle is their adaptation of Lorena’s name derived from an episode of SEINFELD (Rochelle, Rochelle). Alberto’s reference is to a TWILIGHT ZONE episode entitled “The Obsolete Man.” [Ed. Note- two classic rex faves!]

This duo now records on the perfect SONIC CATHEDRAL label.

The new LP is entitled “Corporal.”
