I have a close personal connection to the city of Sarnia. I spent a lot of time there with an aunt and uncle in my youth and my sister, Margaret and her husband Steve live there.

So, how does that source a post?

At the sensational dinner reception for the wedding that I officiated last Saturday, I connected with a young lawyer I hadn’t seen (I thought) in years.

We were seated with his father and mother and to my pleasant surprise, David (Mueller) was there as well.

Turns out David is a member of one of the best post- punk bands in Wïndsor – THE HURON LINES 🇨🇦 !

I saw them open for Palm Ghosts at METEOR a couple of years ago but didn’t realize that he was in the band!

HURON LINES are opening for SAM JR of BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE 🇨🇦 this Friday. I am going to be in either Sarnia or Toronto and don’t know if I will make it back in time…

If not, I will be figuring when I can.

We talked about our mutual admiration for the late MARK LANEGAN and other common musical likes.

I asked DAVID to send me a song that he would like for a post. Knowing where I have been working last week and this, he selected a perfect tune! LOL.
