I have been crazily taking pictures and videos all week of the blue (and white) airplanes operated by Harbour Air taking off and landing on the water in front of our hotels in both Victoria and Vancouver.

This provides a good excuse to segue to a solid art rock outfit that I have keenly listening to since they formed in the 80’s.

Fronted by GERARD LANGLEY, Bristol 🇬🇧 outfit THE BLUE AEROPLANES have released about 15 studio LPs over these many years. They have been on both indie and major labels such as EMI and Chrysalis.

Heavily influenced by the sound of seminal outfit THE VELVET UNDERGROUND, this band has had a constantly rotating roster of musicians. This has probably contributed to their commercial success not keeping pace with the excellent artistic quality of their music.
