INDIE LEMONADE 🍋

Musings from a sad Saturday…

I am not really sure, but I think it was either Shakespeare or Chaucer that first uttered the phrase “When life gives you lemons turn them into indie music…”

I have been following that credo ever since. And so it was going very meh on Saturday until I realized a package had arrived at my mailbox in Detroit. A quick jaunt there and back and voilà

Four, that’s right four, LPs by cherished indie artists had arrived from the UK.

Here they are.

First up is a signed copy the ANDY BELL 🇬🇧 solo LP “pinball wanderer.”

As many of you know, BELL is the co-frontperson of the revived and alive OXFORD band RIDE! [Ed. Note- a rex Top 10 all-time artist.]

This is his 3rd solo LP since 2020! [Ed. Note- 6 since then if you include his 3 LPs as the electronic artist GLOK!]

Next up, the well-known outfit DOVES 🇬🇧 (from Chesire near Manchester). Their new LP (their 6th and first since 2020) “Constellations For The Lonely” has arrived. Here is my signed copy-

Finally, I am excited to chat about what might be my “newest” favourite band. I was thrilled to obtain a limited signed copy of the 3rd LP by this soon to be massive (at least in indie circles) outfit from the Sheffield area. PALE BLUE EYES 🇬🇧 are named after a 1969 song by the VELVET UNDERGROUND 🇺🇸

This band IS the real deal. Trust me on this.
