It doesn’t take much if you know me to appreciate that for the 2024 WORLD (NOT) SERIOUS the least welcome of these pairing possibilities started last night.

I, for one, (and I may be the only one) who not be watching this Madison Avenue/ Hollywood dream matchup. To me it is tragedy. A triumph of greed and show over what the game is supposed to be. (Where is James Earl Jones when we most need his Field Of Dreams voice…)

None of it. Nil. Zilch. Nada.

Call me a sore loser and I will gladly accept it. I am a sore loser with a conscience…at least.

Note- The only thing rex might be remotely be interested in is watching a player who makes plays great and gets paid millions of dollars but who is able to manage his finances in a country where he doesn’t speak the language without having a single accountant or lawyer overseeing his financial affairs. Wow. That is a real no-hitter. While that seems an impossibility, it is still nowhere near enough to compel or propel rex to watch a single pitch. ]

So I turn my anger away from the degradation of my favourite sport and retreat back to my Go-To place- music.
