KIMBERLY is part of a team from her work running a relay for the DETROIT FREE PRESS INTERNATIONAL MARATHON today!

Here she is with her team (2nd from left) when I dropped her off at 5:00 this am.

KIM was a participant in the disastrous 2007 CHICAGO MARATHON where many died in the 95 degree October heat and they cancelled the race midway through because there were no more ambulances. Over 300 persons were taken to the hospital by ambulance and 50 were hospitalized. KIM had to walk the last few miles on instructions from race officials. What a mess.

I am proud to see her take this on today!

The coolest thing about the DETROIT MARATHON is that it is International. Runners start in Detroit and run westward and then over the AMBASSADOR BRIDGE, along the Detroit River before returning to Michigan through the Detroit- Windsor Tunnel.

The song was released in 2006 and was commissioned by NIKE. It is for runners and is structured to give boosts to runners at certain key intervals.
