We spent a great day in FORT WORTH, TEXAS on this trip.

Among the highlights of this day was a visit to the architecturally stunning KIMBELL ART MUSEUM designed by the legendary LOUIS KAHN.

On the music front I was able to make my debut visit to a legendary indie music destination.

Meet Wyatt PARKINS of the legendary SAINT MARIE RECORDS!

SAINT MARIE RECORDS was started in 2010/ 2011 by WYATT as an indie record label.

And what a label it has been!

I own many of their 100+ releases. The label features mostly shoegaze artists. For a time this label was releasing music by artists as near and dear to me as SECRET SHINE, FOR AGAINST, SEASURFER and AMUSEMENT PARKS ON FIRE to mention just 4 of at least 2 dozen of my personal faves.

Two years ago, WYATT put the label on “pause” and opened a fantastic retail outlet in FORT WORTH.

It was great to meet WYATT and chat indie music. We discussed the many great releases on his label and now for sale in the store.

I am thinking of adding a new series based solely on SAINT MARIE releases!

For today I have selected a gem from WYATT’S own band, WE ARE LOVEBLIND. Formerly entitled LOVEBLIND* this outfit released the devastatingly great LP “Sleeping Visions” in 2020.
