Greetings from the ball of contradictions that is The State of Texas!

It is my first time here since late 2022. Hayden and I are visiting Meghan who resides in Austin!

We are taking in 3 sports events- the highlight of which is the MLB HOMERUN DERBY from Globe Life Stadium (Home Of The Texas Rangers) on Monday night!

Ironically, for today’s song I have selected a track from an up and coming Austin shoegaze outfit named BLUSHING.

I just learned of this band thanks to the incredible JACK RABID, publisher of THE BIG TAKEOVER magazine. I am already smitten.

Unusually, the band is comprised of two married couples.

Their latest LP (which I hope to bag at WATERLOO RECORDS) is titled “Sugarcoat”.

The LP is produced by ELLIOT FRAZIER of my favourite TEXAS outfit – RINGO DEATHSTARR! Bonus!!

I had a tough go selecting just one tune from this gem. In the end I went with the song “Tamagotchi”. I hope you enjoy!!
