A funny thing happened on my way to providing you 5 days of Scottish indie artist setlists. What happened was I spent my first full day in Edinburgh- ever.

It started when I made my way late in the afternoon to an ace indie record store- the serendipitously named Underground Solu’shn.

There I found a store chock full of goodies packed into a tiny space. I also found this book which ironically matched the day’s post…

Then came the major cause of setlist interruptus- a gig.

Some of you may remember way back on September 2, 2023 I posted #7 on my Festive 15 list of favourite newish artists.

That band is PORRIDGE RADIO from BRIGHTON, ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

They released my 2022 single of the year- “Back To The Radio.”

Last night their lead singer DANA MARGOLIS played a solo show at THE CAVES and rex was there!

The entire gig was fantastic and it was a thrill to hear many old and some exciting new PORRIDGE RADIO music stripped down to a rhythm guitar and DANA’S shattering vocals.

The song I am featuring today is “7 Seconds”

You get a bonus however because the closest I could get to the way it sounded last night was on this videc with both “Back To The Radio” and “7 Seconds” plus the studio version video of “7 Seconds”

Bloody brilliant stuff.

Oscar at the merch table (more on him another day soon) got me the 7 seconds single which was signed by the artist after the gig.

In the end, a brief chat with Dana and an end to a wonderful day of music!!
