Nothing better than arriving in the UK and realizing that there is a new LP out today by one of my favourite songwriters!!!

The new LP entitled “Loophole” by MICHAEL HEAD & THE RED ELASTIC BAND dropped today!!!

Many in our group may not have heard of THE PALE FOUNTAINS, or SHACK, or this current outfit. However, I could go on for several posts regarding this brilliant songwriter.

There are some in the know who say he is the greatest there is. [Ed. Note – rex doesn’t make this stuff up. Their 2022 LP “Dear Scott” was LP of the year at Piccadilly in Manchester and topped several other Best Of Lists.]

The trials and tribulations he has had getting music heard these past 40 years should be made into a feature movie- seriously. Among the obstacles have been record company misery and woes, heroin addiction and a take truly lost LP entitled “Waterpistol” by SHACK that was found in a miraculous way and has stayed near the top of my best of lists since first listen. Stay tuned.

Travelling across the rolling hills of England today with Kimberly and Hannah is perfect listening territory for today’s song…
