AU REVOIR HANNAH B

They say all good things must come to an end.

Today marks the return of our daughter Hannah to England for the second half of her year of study abroad.

It is a sad but happy time. HANNAH has been HOME for 3 weeks and that has been fantastic. However, the end of May seems a long time through a long narrow tunnel from now during these dark, dreary and weary days of winter.

As requested of her sister Courts, Hannah receives a perfectly indie rain hat for the eventual English spring….

To mark the occasion, I present a classic indie song many of you will know (and probably admire).

It is from the somewhat enigmatic TALK TALK. This London 🇬🇧 outfit released just 5 albums over the decade or so they were together. It is a much respected discography.

They started making music with as a classic 80’s synth pop outfit that would have been grouped with bands like THE HUMAN LEAGUE, SOFT CELL and THE ASSOCIATES early. They then morphed into more of an art- rock sound.

“Life’s What You Make It”, the lead song from their 1986 LP “The Colour Of Spring”, pretty much says it all as Hannah B continues to pursue her dreams with the love and support of her family.
