“The Completist”

I speak often of the cruelly underrated 80’s band from London 🇬🇧 called THE SOUND.

In less than 10 years THE SOUND amassed an impressive discography but even modest commercial success eluded them.

Along with SECRET SHINE, this band is an outsized outlier on my list of all-time faves.

Their second album “From The Lions Den” (Korova, 1981) is near the top of my list).

Following the demise of the band, singer- songwriter ADRIAN BORLAND recorded as a solo artist until his untimely demise in 1999 at the age of 41.

For a good chunk of their career, the band recorded for STATIK RECORDS.

This year, they released a 5 CD box set entitled “The Static Years.”

Three proper releases and 2 CDs of demos, remixes and unreleased songs.

From the last Cd “Blood And Poison: Additional Studio Recordings” here is the previously unreleased track ‘Through And Through.’
