Returning today from a stupendous visit with our daughter Hannah who is studying for her 3rd year of Fine Art in Southampton England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I am also thrilled by the live music experiences I enjoyed and the successful quest for additions to my music collection!

More on that in the future, including nods to friends at my favourite UK stores who assisted me in my quest for discography perfection.

Today is about the LP that got away from me. I had this record in my hand at least twice on the trip. Something twigged me that I needed to pay attention to this record, but I couldn’t remember why. I forgot each time to evaluate and failed to make the purchase.

When I read the list of TOP 100 LPs of the year last night- in my pal JOHN ROBB’s LOUDER THAN WAR (now online) magazine- boink! I was reminded of my error. There it is at #11!

The record is called “Twentieth Century” by SWANSEA SOUND.

I listened. I loved it. I think you might too.

The band is comprised of former POOH STICK member and Swansea native HUE WILLIAMS along AMELIA FLETCHER, her husband ROB PURSEY (both ex TALULAH GOSH and HEAVENLY) and former DEATH IN VEGAS member IAN BUTTON. (The latter 3 also record as CANTENARY WIRES. More on them soon.)

It is their second LP and I can’t believe I swung and missed on this. It has immediate moved near the top of my “need to have” list.
