[New Release Notice]

A number of members of the Group have commented on how much they enjoyed the two previous posts (240 and 468) on the Brooklyn synthesizer outfit NATION OF LANGUAGE. [Ed. Note- a special nod to Group member Lee in Austin, Texas who has become a huge fan.]

Imagine what a band would sound like if ULTRAVOX, NEW ORDER and DEPECHE MODE had a love child who released good music. In my humble opinion you now have have a sense of their sound.

Here is my favourite track on their new LP – released yesterday. It is their 3rd and is entitled “Strange Disciple.”

I am seriously obsessing over this number. The song is “Stumbling Still” I am particularly fond when the bottom drops out of the drumming at the 2:42 mark.

It reminds me of how the feedback drops away briefly at 2:15 mark of the song ‘Inside Me’ by THE JESUS & MARY CHAIN.

I also think that MIDGE URE, PETER HOOK and DAVE GAHAN should be hired to work collaboratively on a remix version of today’s song!!
