Here’s to some Group members that have vacationed in the New England area this summer. While it might seem like today’s title is a comment on those vacationers, it is not.

WHEAT were an indie band from Taunton, MA 🇺🇸. That town is about 40 miles from Boston. Their first LP was entitled “Madeiros” (1997). My cd version came in a silver case. (See pics.)

The band kept a low profile over 4 LPs released between 1997 and 2007. Efforts to release more music in the 2010’s resulted in record label chaos.

I would classify their music as classic American indie. There is an element of a slacker rock in their sound.

My favourite WHEAT release is the 1999 sophomore LP produced by the legendary DAVE FRIDMANN of MERCURY REV fame. It is entitled “ Hope And Adams). (I think I read somewhere that Hope and Adams is a well known intersection in Boston.)
