Of all the artists in my collection I own the most music by the legendary Manchester outfit THE FALL. To reference this band us to actually talk about the career of one MARK E. SMITH.
They released an astonishing 33 studio albums from “Live At The Witch Trials” in 1979 to “New Facts Emerge” in 2017. This is why I have 964 FALL songs in my collection. [Ed. Note- To put this into perspective (if that is even possible) rex could hit play and listen to songs by this outfit around the clock for 2.7 days.]
SMITH died in 2018 at the age of 60.
Equally stunning to their vast musical output was the revolving door nature of the band- other than Smith. A quick scan reveals that 66 different musicians played at one time for The Fall. Some left and came back. He married and divorced band member BRIX SMITH. She came back after that a few years later. More about her notable career soon,
I was pleasantly surprised to discover a new LP with a connection to THE FALL while browsing at the fantastic VINILO RECORDS in Southampton UK this past May.
The eponymous titled record is by HOUSE OF ALL.

Please note that all 5 members were in THE FALL at various times.
See the back cover for the names. MARTIN BRAMAH was an original membe

The references to THE FALL were readily apparent, but it was not completely derivative. A solid release in my humble opinion.
