Watching the characters in the new season of “Billions” dine in some of the best NYC restaurants made me salivate and reminded me that we haven’t been to the City That Never Sleeps in a while.

I turned my mind then to a Big Apple artist in my collection not yet featured here on the first 600 tracks of gwilliamrexunderground365. The selection was 90’s outfit BOWERY ELECTRIC. Between 1995 and 2000 they recorded 4 LPs – 3 studio and a remix.

I would describe their music as jazz inflected shoegaze. Others might call them post-rock.
