HAPPY BIRTHDAY DJ DREW!

34 years ago today the world became a way better place for many of us, including some of you, with the birth of George Andrew Tanner King!

Those of you that have had the pleasure of meeting Andrew know his infectious personality, kindness and slightly mischievous spirit. He is the very embodiment of goodness. He hasn’t a bad bone in his body. He loves life.

Andrew loves sports. He will attend nearly 20 MLB games this year. A birthday trip to Toronto to see the Blue Jays in a week is always a highlight for him!

His favourite teams are (ready for this?):

Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs.

Detroit Lions and University of Wïndsor Lancers (football),

Detroit Pistons (basketball),

Toronto FC, Austin FC and Chelsea (soccer)

Perhaps is greatest love is hockey. He is a diehard fan of Toronto Maple Leafs, Wïndsor Spitfires and LaSalle Vipers.

He has uniforms for all and dresses himself almost daily for a particular team.

As for music, Andrew is equally obsessed.

In honour of his special day gwilliamrexunderground365 is pleased to present “Groovin’ With DJDrew’. This is a Spotify playlist of 50 indie songs most often played by him on his iPod.

He has listened to 12 of these tunes over 1,000 times! His fave tunes consist of these tracks plus another 20 or so from kids movies such as Bolt and the super-hero movies.

When I prepared this list, one of his top 50 tracks was not on Spotify. We will make that our song today. It is ‘See-Saw’ by MONACO, a band fronted by Andrew’s good friend PETER HOOK.
