Today is the end of our week at Queens’ College, Cambridge University
The lectures and learning have been brilliant and inspirational. The friendships and camaraderie exceptional. The historical architecture and environment, as you can see below, nothing but transformative.

[Ed. Note. The world famous Mathematical Bridge which we had to cross to our residence at room K23.]
My mattress (notice it doesn’t say “our mattress” – it’s a dorm) and the residence food, well, not so much…

While I indicated earlier that the list of reputable indie bands from Cambridgeshire was scant, I did keep one band back on the metaphorical turntable for this summer Friday.
THE BELOVED started as a post-punk outfit in the early to mid 80’s. Down to a duo by 1987, founding member JON MARSH and STEVE WADDINGTON pivoted hard to the dancefloor.
The result was a series of successful singles spread over many years. WADDINGTON eventually departed and Helena Marsh joined.
The most well known of those songs is ‘Sweet Harmony’ which was featured last Christmas Day here on gwilliamrexunderground365 for its message of hope (and the infectious rhythm!)
Today we say goodbye to Cambridge with ‘’Hello’. This is another slab of dance groove embedded with a list of names. From the first of their two 1990 LPs, “Happiness” here is .’Hello’ to let you get on with your Friday whilst Kimberly and I maneuvre on to London. Here is the 90’s style video-
