What’s the Deal with 23? Volume #4

The number 23 is the lowest prime number consisting of consecutive numbers. This numeral has bedevilled people for centuries. It has intrigued me for years.

When I did my August 23, 2022 posting in celebration of the anniversary of Kimberly and I. (“19 Glorious Years” – songs 238 and 239), I was reminded of how many amazing references there are in my 140,000 song collection to this number.

As you know, we are currently attending a legal conference at Cambridge University, UK 🇬🇧.

Upon arriving, I was advised that this is the 23rd such conference, and is occurring in the year. 2023. To this point, no big deal.

However, we were then escorted to our 3rd floor dorm room for the week by student porters (no elevators!.) Our room is is building K, as in…

Notwithstanding the protestations of group member and inspiration for this series, Brian, who is freaked out by my one session with this number, a confluence of information demands an Episode #4.

DEATH IN VEGAS are a London 🇬🇧 based outfit that is, in reality, the domain of RICHARD FEARLESS. They have making highly respected electronic and dance music for almost 30 years.

The song ‘23 Lies’ is from the band’s 3rd LP “Scorpio Rising” (2002). The YouTube version indicates the vocalist is American artist 🇺🇸 HOPE SANDOVAL from MAZZY STAR.
